HbA1c: Sensitivity and Specificity
Introduction:
Also known as hemoglobin A1c. This represents the fraction of glycosylated hemoglobin in the blood, reflective of the long-term (~3 months) glycemic control of a diabetic. Note that it can also be raised by conditions causing increased red cell lifespan, e.g. splenectomy.

60% sensitive, 95% specific
