Spinal Discitis and Osteomyelitis: Sensitivity and Specificity

Introduction: Infection of the vertebral bodies, centered at the intervertebral disc. The infection often spreads to the prevertebral soft tissues and into the epidural space. It most commonly affects the lumbar spine.
