Septic Pelvic Thrombophlebitis: Sensitivity and Specificity

Introduction: Infectious thrombosis (thrombophlebitis) of the ovarian veins is an uncommon complication of pregnancy (delivery) or gynecologic surgery. However, the diagnosis is often difficult to establish and requires a high degree of suspicion.
